    Import App: Blank submission entries are shown after a bad import

    Hi

    I used the import.jotform.io site to import data into a form titled "Sample Request Form"

    Unfortunately, I imported a spreadsheet with the wrong headers and as a result the data is really messed up.

    I now have lots of blank entries and I can't export the data any more (otherwise I'd export, delete and reimport)

    Is there anything I can do to rectify this?

    The only way to do this Kemal would be to delete the submissions that are not imported properly and then you should be able to do the export once again. If you give us the link to the form we could check out the submissions to see what is happening, but you should be able to delete them either one by one, or by setting up the time frame, within (only) the bad submissions are and then use the delete all option.

    Thanks for the quick response. The link for the submissions is http://www.jotform.com/submissions/31064868137357. Let me know if this is the wrong link and I can obtain the correct one.

    Within the submissions page, it won't let me select the blank ones for deleting.

    How do I filter by date ranges? I can't see the option on the page.

    That is the correct link Kemal, thank you for that. I have taken a look at it and I now see that there are no actual entries made, just the count and the blank space - which since is blank, would not be possible to remove.I will raise this to our developers for inspection since this should not happen. Now do let us know when you have made the import and if you had any data prior to it that is to be saved?I have only seen 3 entries, which is why I am checking if there were more by some chance.In regards to filtering by the date range, unfortunately it is not of any help in this specific scenario, but you can see here how to do it and use it: How to Partially Download Form Submissions as Excel/CSV/PDF? As soon as our developers have an update in regards to your issue you will be updated about it here.

    Hi Ben

    I made 2 or 3 erroneous imports. There's around 6,000 entries but should only be around 2,000.

    If you scroll to the end of the submissions then you'll see that the existing ones, the 3 that are there now are entries since I imported incorrectly.

    If it's possible, would the developers be able to export all of the data. That way I could rectify it in excel and reimport (correctly!!)

    Don't you have a backup file for the submission in your PC? Because you can just clone the form and import the submissions there.

    Anyways, this thread is already assigned to our developers. If there are updates, you should know via this thread.

    Hi Welvin,

    I was trying to merge two forms, so I imported the data from one to another. I only have half of the entries in a spreadsheet.

    In hindsight, I should have cloned the form before messing around with it!
