Saving edited submission

    Hi

On viewing my submission data for a particular form and then trying to change/edit some submitted data I've noticed there is no save option. So any amends I make don't get saved.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

In order for it to be saved, you need to re-submit the form. So once you're done editing the data, just click the "Submit" button. Hope this helps. Thank you.

    Thanks Jan.

I realised that after I'd posted the question but it kind of defeats the object of what I was trying to do. I want to add raw, old data, to new fields in the form which have completely different validation criteria to the existing old data. For some reason I expected the edit process would be similar to that of changing an Excel spreadsheet - silly with hindsight I suppose.

I understand what you mean. Unfortunately, that is how editing submissions work. It is not like an editor where you can edit and then save it. You need to re-submit the form for it to be saved. You can probably just export the submissions to an excel file if you want.

Let us know if you need any help. Thank you.
