    Can I change the background colour of a heading (currently I think it is blue...a little colourblind)

    all you have to do is click on font color and change it to whatever color you like

    No that changes the color of all the text labels or background color affects the background of the whole form. I'm looking specifically for the background of a Heading element which is not affected by background color
