    fields disappearing from backend?

    Hi I am trying to figure out if this was a jotform glitch or an error from my Client, who also access the jotform account for reports.

    They recently realized that a good chunk of questions were missing from their survey reports.

    When I went to look at the actual form on jotform, I realized that at least 10 fields at the end of the form, including the submit button, were missing.

    Is it possible at all that this error occured on jotforms end? I am of course leaning towards the client touching something and making a mistake, especially since it seems odd that only a certain chunk of the fields dissapeared, and all at the end of the form. 

    Any advice please let me know!

    Do you mean they are missing from the form or from the report? If they are missing from the report you might just be not included the fields where you check the fields you would like to see on the reports.

    When I look at your form I see a submit button.

    Are you seeing it missing on the web page? If that's the case, can you post the URL of the page?

    I mean that they were missing from the form, separate from the reports.

    However now I have already replaced the missing form fields for the client, so now everything is working correctly, but a few days ago was when I went to the modify the form on jotform, the fields were most definitely missing. 

    It is highly likely the client did this by accident and didn't know what they were doing, but I wanted to see if it possible that it was a Jotform glitch before I told them that they were probably the source of the problem.

    Hi guys,

    I have just had the same problem occur to me. Seems this guy had the issue as well: http://www.jotform.com/answers/9057-Fields-at-end-of-form-disappearing-on-backend-.

    I had quite a long form and the last 80% of it has disappeared/been deleted, leaving me only with the first 10 or so questions. What's left is shown at: http://www.jotform.com/answers/9057-Fields-at-end-of-form-disappearing-on-backend-

    I really want to avoid having to redo all the questions and conditions. Any ideas? Does Jotform store previous versions of the form somewhere?

    One more note: the fields may have disappeared after I cloned the form..?

    Hi Ransomp,

    I would suggest removing the pagebreak field first and create all your form fields before adding new pagebreak. Please let us know if that helps or not, I was trying it on my end and it's working fine.

    Hi Pete,

    Sorry to say but it can't be recovered anymore, I have tried cloning your form and viewed the last part of your field but no luck. To be honest, I would suggest recreating it to avoid further problems. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

    We're considering buying a JotForm license, and I'd like to understand the problem here. idartech, correct me if I'm wrong, but the problem here is not with data disappearing, it's with fields disappearing in the 'design form' view, and consequently from the 'fill form' view.

    If that is the case, the problem might be one that we've been considering also - since this is ajaxed, you see a change made even though it might not be saved due to connectivity problems. While that may be relatively rare in the US or elsewhere, here it is a regular occurrence. 

    The solution, as I see it, is to have a Gmail style, 'you're changes have not been saved, trying to reconnect' type of thing.

    Is that possible?
