How to edit a field on a form through API calls

I use the /form/{id}/submissions?apikey, etc. etc. the returned text can be very long.  Much of this seems due to the return of the HTML in the prettyFormat sections.  Is there a way I can avoid returning HTML or will I need to post-process it?

I have used regex to post-process it and that seems to work.

I am using VBA and that is a feisty thing with JSON.  cJobject has been a big help.  cJobject was stumbling hard with the prettyFormat.  Stripping it out alleviated that though.

We are glad to hear that you were able to parse / post-process your returned data with regex. If you need any particular help with the API, it is best to ask our developers that deal with the API directly, as they will be better able to properly answer and address your concerns regarding the API.

You can contact them here: http://developers.jotform.com/forum

    I hope this helps.

When I look at this page and select Contact API team I don’t see a link. It just seems like a page bookmark. When I used “view source” I found: http://form.jotformpro.com/jsform/30693660548966 but that link is not active any longer. I have posted two questions under API help in the forum, but not getting any bites on them. Mainly I need to know how to edit a field in a form with the API with POST /submission/{id}. I have the full question in the forum. Is there a way I can get to a developer?
I know I am on a free plan but am planning on moving to the basic shortly (before encrypted forms inc the price on 8/15). At this point I am still trying to make sure this product fits my needs. I had used Survey Monkey before but wanted more of the form based things your company provides
    Thanks

I'm sorry that you still haven't received all your answers regarding our API on the developers forum, but I do see that at least one of your questions there has been answered.

Please wait for the developers to respond to your queries there, as they really know the best when it comes to our API. They have a lot of work on their plate at the moment, which is why it may be taking them a little more time to tend to your queries. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
