this whole email forwarding to a few addresses is not working for me.

You have mentioned that you are having problem with email forwarding to few addresses, are you referring to the Notifier email? You can check this guide on how to setup your Notifier email: Setting Up Email Notifications. If you want to send your Notifier email to multiple email addresses, you just need to add to the Recipient E-mail settings a comma delimited list of email (i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org).
