Bad Website Ratings on WOT (Web of Trust)

I use both Norton's and the Web of Trust (WOT) website rating and reputation tool in my browser to alert me of potentially dangerous websites. When I was reading some of your support answers, I clicked on a link to take me to a sample form for the Configurable List widget. Both WOT and Norton flagged the sample form as potentially dangerous. One of the reviews on WOT listed the site as a phishing scam. I believe this was the result of someone stumbling across the form after an internet search and possibly thinking the form was for a real service.

I would recommend that Jot Form make it standard practice to state at the top of any sample form posted online that it is for demonstration purposes only and personal information should not be entered into it. Hopefully whatever information is entered into the form is discarded and not accessible should someone put real identifiable information into it.

To help correct this error, I put a positive review on WOT's review of the site, which can be found at: https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/form.myjotform.com?utm_source=addon&utm_content=warn-viewsc

At that address, you can also find a button in the upper right side that says "Click here if you own this site." It will take you to a page that will guide you through steps to rectify the warning. I wanted to bring this to your attention to prevent any damage that might be done to JotForm's reputation and service from this misidentified warnings.

    Thanks.

Thank you for letting us know. I have forwarded this to our superiors so that they can take a look into the what can or should be done regarding reputation on WOT and similar services. Your recommendation for adding text such as sample form or demo form to the start of any such forms sounds reasonable to me, though it is not something I can decide about.

That particular form you have linked to was created by one of our senior members, Titus, and is certainly not used for phishing. He is also the head of our widgets department.

Thank you very much for your proactiveness and support! :) I would also like to point out that we have a Phishing Detector tool that is designed to detect phishing forms and automatically disables accounts that are creating such forms.

    Thank you.
