How can I unbold free text sections?

Asked by EssentialPers on January 02, 2012 at 10:14 AM

Free Text Html continues to bold text sections even when I attempt to unbold the sections. I have copied and pasted a word document and normally it works fine but this time it continues to bold sections on its own. Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, I see what you mean. Although it has worked for you in the past, due to all of the proprietory tags generated by Word, I wouldn't advise copying text from Microsoft Word and pasting it directly into the content area of a Free Text (HTML) field (have a look at the HTML source of the free text field and you'll quickly see cause of the problem).

Perhaps tidying up the markup with one of the tools recommended here might not be a bad idea. Alternatively, you could first copy the content from Word to Notepad, then from Notepad to the free text field and use the free text field's formatting tools to make the text appear as you want.
