Hide input results from form in PDF report

Asked by jeff  on September 27, 2015 at 09:02 PM

    Hi there

we want to collect the submitter email and phone number.
this data will be used to respond to them with a copy of the completed form
However, wo do not wish to have this data populated on the form.

can it be collected and then stored in a hidden mode?

ie. the data is valuable to us but we do not want to make it public (and we publish the pdf form to our members)

Right now, i have the input fields hidden so noone submits that data but, without them inputting their email, they do not get the automated response with a copy of the form to download

hopefully i am making sense as to what i am trying to describe. :-)
    Thanks
    Jeff

Unfortunately it is not possible to collect submitter email and phone number it those fields are hidden.

Only you have access to data that are submitted.

If your are sending PDF reports of your forms to your users you can remove email and phone number fields form PDF report.

To achieve that inside of your Submission page, click on Properties option and un-select email and email and phone number fields.

If email and phone number options are not checked they will not be shown in PDF report.

Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

As long as the data is available to us outside of the PDF, That is exactly what we required.
I will test it – thank you very much!

Do let us know if you happen to have any questions after testing it out Jeff.

Also, to add, what my colleague had shown to you is the screenshot from the Submissions Panel, which you can see by following the steps described here: How to view Submissions
