Cloning a form-editing changes don't always change

Why is it that when you clone a form and then make changes such as a background color for example, it looks as if the changes are saved, but when you preview the new form or look at it online the color is same as the original? Also- why is it that when I go into designer to try and correct this, the current form I am working on never comes up?

Do you clone a form by its URL? We are currently having a temporary issue with form cloning by URL.

The form builder opens the last session form instead of the new cloned form upon the cloning by URL. Once you clone a form, go to My Forms, and open the new form to make sure that you edit a correct form.

If your issue is different, please let us know. Thank you.

No, I always clone the forms directly from My Forms. I click on the form and clone it from the drop down menu. Everything I do is from My Forms and not from a URL. I am always editing the new form, not the original form.

When I change something such as a color directly on the form, by clicking on the preferences menu it appears as if it's changed, but then when i preview the form, it has not changed.

I checked on your account and I see that this were the latest forms that were updated.

Cloning a form editing changes dont always change Image 1 Screenshot 20

I can see that one of the form is most likely a cloned version of the other. As you can see on the screenshot they have different background color.

I can only assume that the changes you did on the other form did changed and was saved.

You can also back track on the changes/revisions that had been done on the form using the Form Revision History feature.

You can use this feature to check if changes you have done did not take effect on the current version of the form.

Hope this help. Please let us know if issue persist.

Hello, I am having the same issue. I cloned a form and made changes to one of the clones, but it doesn't save and reverts back to the original clone without saving the changes.

https://form.jotform.com/60038432878157 ---- clone form I want to change (removal of one line in directions that will be for a different Group of Applicants)

Ideally be related to non-communicable diseases ---this line is what I want to removed from the cloned form. But it keeps showing up after I delete and save in the clone.

https://form.jotform.com/53224167208148 ----original form without any change.

I need to have this done for my boss asap, we are supposed to launch this tomorrow. HELP PLEASE!
