Adding dropdowns to Narrative Fields widget

Can you add drop-downs to a Narrative Field form? I see that you can do it for fields but what about dropdown entries?

@grade4pagasa that is a very nice workaround for the configurable list.

I would like to add to it, that there is a way to move the fields into new row as well if the widget ends up being very long and multiple widgets would be needed if you wish to have several different lines of the text.

Now the two widgets above are the only ones that could be used for this, but they do not have dropdowns available.

Another approach that could be taken is to have the Text field(s) and dropdowns manipulated through the CSS. While this would look great, it would be a bit difficult to maintain and is likely to take a bit more time to setup.

In light of this, I will raise this to our developers to see if they would consider making update to Narrative fields to include dropdowns, or to have a different widget that could do that instead.

Now while I will raise this, please do note that the same might not be available for some time, or even at all, depending on how it is decided on this.

If it however becomes available, we will update you about it right away through this thread.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to do the same thing on "Dynamic Dropdown" widget. On its wizard, you can only define the options values for dropdowns, there is no option for adding a text between those dropdown fields.

Alternatively, you can use the "Configurable List" widget's workaround to achieve this scenario as it is mentioned above. However, when there is an update for the "Narrative Fields" widget, you will be informed from this thread.
