Glitch with how email alert is formatted

    I edited the jot form settings to make the form that we receive via email to be left rather than centred.
    I did this by editing the email alert and I then selected the HTML tag.
    I changed:
    <td align="center">
    to be
    <td align="left">
    This worked fine(emails were then received the with details left justified).
    However, I then discovered in doing so (or by simply clicking on the html button then reverting back to the wysiwyg editor WIHOUT making any changes) this causes the form to send via email options that have not been selected.
    I.e. if there is a question:
    Do you like cats?
    And they don't select an answer.
    We still receive the question in the email from jot form Do you like cats?
    Where as before, if a question is not answered, the question is not sent to us within the form, which keeps the received email looking neater.
    I have attached a screen shot to show you what I mean.
    How can I fix this issue?

    Thank you for contacting us.

    As far as I know, we do not have the Auto Hide Empty Fields option for email notifications yet.

    However, it is possible to delete field names from the notification, in this case you will receive entered data only.

    For example:

    Your name {yourName}
    Your telephone number {yourTelephone}
    Your email address {yourEmail}
    How many cards would you like a price for? {howMany5}

    Replaced with the:

    {yourName}
    {yourTelephone}
    {yourEmail}
    {howMany5}

    Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance on this.

    Hi,
    The emails are received with the uncompleted fields missing which is great, see screen grabs attached.
    However, if I goto edit the email notification but simply select HTML then revert back to wysiwyg, then the uncompleted fields are visible.
    2 screen grabs are attached

    We can unzip the archives, but we just do not see any attached files in this thread, except the image in your initial post.

    There is seems to be a glitch with the attaching files on the forum.

    Please accept our apologies for that.

    Hello,
    Yes, that is correct.
    Note: You don't have to actually make any alterations in HTML, simply selecting that mode, then reverting back to wysiwyg then saving is enough to cause the glitch.
    Thanks

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you for your message. As far as I understand, notifications by default autohides checkbox and radiobox questions in the mail message when not filled/answered. Now, when you'll touch your notification code it will be read as "customized notification" which I think removes the autohide function. I just tested your form and it showed me the clean notification. I would suggest not to touch the code if you'd like to stay as it is. Let me please inform you that we aren't made aware of this, so I was thinking it's not yet perfectly working. Thanks for bringing this to our attention anyway.

    If you have any other queastions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you so much and have a great day!
