Offline forms for iOS and Android devicesAsked by Spencer on October 29, 2015 at 09:36 AM
An iOS/Android app that synchronizes online forms for offline use. Form submissions to be stored locally by the app and synced to Jotform online once internet connectivity is re-established. Have used this function in a competitors product and it was very handy. Deployed several ipads running an offline form without the need for internet in a remote location as well as areas saturated with devices/people, e.g. a sporting event. I'd include:
- Ability to set a default form that loads when the app is started
- 'Kiosk' mode so that no other form can be selected without a passcode
- An indicator that all submissions have synced and/or remaining submissions
- Perhaps an HTML5 version that works in the same way; submissions stored in cache and synced later
I have now forwarded this thread to our developers as a feature request. We can't promise any timeframe for this, but if there are updates, you should know it in this thread.
Offline form is possible using our fillable PDF feature, but you will have to use a PC for this and a software that can read and submit the file. Please check this guide for full details:
