The auto fill function does not appear to be working now on our form.

I have checked the form is set up properly and auto fill is enabled on jotform but when one of our assessors enters data and then closes the form the date inputted is no longer there.

    Thank you for contacting us.

Is this the form you are working on: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/52943613938969

I have tested this form and Auto Fill Feature is working on that form. However considering that your form is quite long Auto fill feature is making you form to be slow.

If that is not the form you are working on, please provide us ID of your form.

Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Hi
Thank you for coming back to me. Yes the link is to the correct form and I feared that the length of form was slowing it down. Thank you for checking the auto fill, but for some reason it is not working for us on my colleagues computer. We are obviously doing something wrong this end, do you have a set of instructions on closing/saving the half completed form and then opening it again – I know this is probably an easy thing to do but we are doing something wrong.
    Regards,
    Karen

When I open your form it is blank for 5-6 seconds because it is still loading and then data previously entered are shown. Auto fill method is based on browser local storage. It is saving the form data on users browser, so user can open the form later and he/she will see the past data. When form is submitted form will clear.

Note - user will need to use same browser to access data.

I have tested your form in Google Chrome and in Mozilla Firefox and Auto fill feature is working. Which browser are you using? Can you try with different browser or device?

Like I previously mentioned your form is long and because of that and because of Auto fill feature it is slow (5-6 sec delay).

Instead of Auto fill feature, may I suggest How to save form to continue later (Session method)

The Session method is saving the data on our servers. With this method you will need to use two forms, one for session generation and second as primary. Then users will be able to access their sessions from any locations. With this method users will be able to continue to fill out your forms whenever they want. But, the tricky part is you have to keep a Session ID.

Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for coming back to me.
I have done as you suggested ‘save form for later’ and this works fine on my machine although it is still very slow. Thank you for your help.
