I followed every step in the tutorials, and I can't seem to manage to get notifications delivered to other email adresses besides my own. I even changed the profile email-adress to the one I desire but even then it still keeps sending me a notification on my personal/ wrong email adress.
What am I doing wrong?

I do believe that your are using the Test Email button for this.
If so please do follow the steps here: How to properly Change and Test a New Email Recipient Address.
As you will see the test emails are always sent to the email associated with the account. Even if you change the account email, there is some time before the test email is being sent to that email in order to not allow spammers to send emails.
Do let us know how it goes when you follow the steps in the guide above.
