Pre-populating fields in a new form based on looking up uniqueId in another form

Hello Jot Form team,I already have created a form where many people have submitted data. This form has a unique Id field.

Now I want to create a new form to ask for some more details. I plan to ask users to enter their unique Id (I've told them that's their Registration ID), and then based on that, want to pre-populate certain fields like Name and Email Id in the new form.

Is there a way to do that? I did see some forum posts related to this, but they talk a lot about the Thank You page, and I could not quite figure out how to use that technique for my requirement.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to prepopulate another form with user's data if you have already received their submissions data before implementing this technique: https://www.jotform.com/help/97-How-to-Save-Forms-and-Continue-Later

Which basically works by passing data via URL parameters from one form(when submitting it) to another form.

So, if you implement it, it will only work with new submissions. Let us know if you have more questions.
