Revision history shows several conditions have changed which I never did.

Asked by floydpr on November 13, 2015 at 10:37 AM

I noticed on the following form that my conditions had changed recently: https://form.jotform.com/21146479913963

What I mean by my conditions changed is that I had set up more than 100 conditions where when someone selected a certain department it sent an email to a certain supervisor. While some of the ones were correct. others were going to the wrong supervisor. It was completely random.

This is a recognition form for our employees, so I checked the similar form that the public uses to recognize our staff and found the same issue: https://form.jotform.com/31645410504949

I then checked the version history and noticed that revisions were made at dates and times that I never revised the form. In fact, there were some revision dates and times where more than a hundred revisions had been made in a very short period of time, which is physically impossible. They all had to do with modifying the conditions.

Can you please investigate to let me know what is happening to these forms and how to stop this from happening? This is one of the few forms we have in which we use the "send an email" condition, but I am concerned other form conditions may have been affected.

This was just noticed yesterday (11/12/15) so I am not sure how long it has been happening.

    Hello floydpr,

I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you but it is highly unlikely that conditions will change or revert automatically. Did someone by any chance reverted your form to an earlier version?

I did check your form's revision history and see there are revisions with over 100 changes in conditions. Please be noted that if the form was not saved automatically (auto save), all the changes made to condition will be saved together when save button is clicked or auto save is triggered.

I am anyway forwarding this thread to our back end team so that they can investigate it.

    Thank you!

I am the only one who would ever look at that form or make any edits.
I am not sure if it autosaved. However, I can tell you that, although yesterday I might have made several dozen changes, there is no way I made more than a hundred in 30 minutes.
Thank you for investigating. I do agree that it is quite odd. I am hesitant to make a whole new form because of how many conditions I had to make.

    Hi Mark.

I agree that it seems a bit odd just as my colleague, who already reported this to our developers, so once they take a look into this they will be able to give you more detains in regards to what might have happened.

As soon as there are any updates, we will let you know about them through this thread.

    Hi Mark,

Looking at the notes that we can see, our developer has marked this as resolved, looking further it seems that there were several other issues all caused by one bug that our other developer had resolved (on one other thread).

As such this issue should no longer be present neither.

If you are experiencing a different scenario, then please do let us know and we would be happy to reopen this ticket if needed.

I do apologize for not updating you when this was resolved (on 7th of December).
