data being submitted to wrong form

I made a form, then copied that form and made it specific to a client but the original form is getting the submissions and not the form that i sent them via link. i did verify that indeed the form link they are using is correct and it is.  any ideas whey this is happening ?

In the meantime i have disabled the original form that i used to make copies of.

If the original form link was given at any time, the form could still be filled out from that link.  Had they sent out the original link at some point, people may still be using it. If the original is embedded to a webpage, it could also be filled out from there.
