Why would PayPal make another product that is better than the original

AytekinAnswered on November 24, 2015 at 12:20 PMJotform FounderPayPal bought Braintree because it was very successful and growing rapidly. I think this is similar to Facebook buying Instagram. Instagram was growing too rapidly and it was a threat for Facebook. So, by owning Instagram, Facebook is now more powerful. It is just my humble opinion.
From the point view of users, Braintree integration is simpler if you are not used to paying for things with PayPal a lot. The user enters credit card on the form and submits the form. If you use PayPal, the user is redirected to the PayPal site.
