Can I integrate shipping into my form?

Asked by lxgrube on January 26, 2012 at 07:02 PM

How can I add ups, fedex, or us mail shipping to my form? I would like the form to calculate the total shipping of cost for the customer.

Thank you for posting your inquiry. At this time, JotForm doesn't have a built-in shipping calculator  or add-ons for shipping calculations that can automatically compute shipping costs. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, a workaround that you can do is to include the shipping costs into your item price directly. For example, if an item costs $50 and shipping is $10, the total item price in your form will become $60. Just indicate in the product notes that the price indicated already includes shipping price of 10$.

We hope you still find this information useful. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Thank you for using JotForm!

Do you think it be wise to implement this considering it applies to anyone who ships physical goods?

The workaround you suggest doesn't really map to true life in how shipping is charged i.e. it is severely limited.

    Regards Mark

It's true and I accept that, but that's the only way I could think and I believed there's no other way than this with the current version of JotForm. If you have any better solution or suggestions please post it on the separate thread and we'll address it to our development team.

A client of mine has a shipping requirement and I'm struggling with what to do - this was the purpose of my post.

If I come up with something I'll drop a post.

    Thanks, Mark
