My voice recorder widget works using Google Chrome but not in these browsers:
1) Firefox - appears as a file upload field.
2) Internet Explorer - it looks like the voice recorder widget but doesn't work - it just continually says "saving".
Eek, not good! Can you please advise if I need to do anything, or is it a problem at your end? Was about to publish this form on my website, glad I thought to check in different browsers first.
Thank you. :-)

When I access your form on Chrome, the Voice Recorder widget is displayed properly.
I checked the form in Firefox and Internet Explorer, the voice recording widget was displayed as a regular file upload.
I also checked it in Microsoft Edge browser and noticed that the voice recorder widget was displayed properly but the saving is not working.
Let me forward this issue to our development team for them to further check the issue. We will inform you on this thread once the issue has been fixed.
Do let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you, look forward to hearing their reply. While the developers are looking at this widget, is there any possibility it could have the hide field functionality added?

Are you referring to the Hide Field option when you click the Gear Icon?
Currently there is no Hide Field option in the properties of the the widget.
May I also know why you need this option since once you have set the field to Hide Field, the field will always be hidden in the form? If you want to Hide the widget you can try to conditionally hide it.
We will wait for your response.

If there was a Hide Field option for the Voice Recorder I would hide those widgets by default. I would add an option to the previous question, "How would you like to do this?" If someone selected "Record a verbal description" I would use conditions to unhide the Voice Recorder widgets. It's just about trying to keep the form as clean, simple and uncluttered as possible so people aren't put off by lots of fields and lots of options.
Having no "Hide Field" option isn't a show stopper but it would be nice to have.

If you want to Hide the Record Widget by default, you can set it up in your condition. I checked your form and I noticed that you have set a condition in your form where you will Hide your Record Widget and based on this condition the Record Widget is shown by default.
You can change the condition to this condition so the Voice Recorder widget is hidden by default.
You can also check this sample demo form that I used for testing - https://form.jotformpro.com/53288026343960?
If you still want this feature to be added on the Voice Recorder widget, please create a separate thread/new thread as the ticket for this issue is marked as a Bug Fix so we need to raise another ticket as a feature request .
Do let us know if you need further assistance.

Thanks Chriistian! Appreciate you taking the time to show me that method. I'll add that functionality stating "if you have Google Chrome, would you like to record a description".
I look forward to hearing when the bug is fixed so clients using Firefox and IE can also use the Voice Recorder function. Thanks.

Is there any update on the Voice Recorder widget working on browsers other than Google Chrome? It doesn't work in Safari either.

Sorry but there's no update about this as of the moment. The bug ticket is still opened and marked as important. Once there's any progress about this, I'm sure the assigned developer will keep you posted.
Thank you for your patience.

We've made a few updates that took us a long time to implement and test.
We've build a few fallbacks for each browser/device scenario to make sure it can work in most browsers.
Please test the Voice recorder and let us know how that goes.
