I cannot get the Substring Widget to work

    On test form

    I cannot get the substring output to show everything after the colon.

     

    Any thoughts on why its not working?

    Thank you for contacting us. 

    I am not exactly sure which part you want to extract. Inside of Substring Widget settings you need to enter Substring start and Substring end. Values that you enter inside of those fields must  be numerical.

    Thank you, but I can get it to work with the position of the character being "8"

     

    That works if the heading is Group: , but if I change the heading to titles with varying lengths it will not obviously work.

     

    the Dropdown puts in a ":" as a delimiter but I cant get it to use that as an input.

     

    Any help?

    Yes this will work only if both headings have the same length.

    Possible workaround would be to add one more additional output field. First Output field will get values from first heading and second Output field from second heading. You would also need to add one additional Substring Widget. Also you would need to set conditional logic for Option field like this.
