drop down selections don't show after selection when filling out form

One last isue with this form. When I tested it I noticed that each time I made a selection in a drop down item, the selection did not show on the screen. I know it was selected but it doesn't seem so when you look at the screen.

The options for what to choose show up, but not the selection itself.

How can I fix this?
