2nd participant Entry # showing on submission when only one participant entered

Asked by Lori on February 18, 2016 at 10:50 AM

I must have to do a conditional format for the 2nd entry # to say when yes to 2nd participant then create 2nd entry #, is this correct?

I presume you are referring to the 2nd "entry #" field showing even though the "Add 2nd Participant?" is set to "No".

This is because you are using the "Unique ID" widget, it is by default hidden and it automatically generates a value regardless if you have use a condition to show/hide or enable/disable. Setting the widget disable or enable using condition will not have an effect on it, I believe.

The problem is that that widget cannot be tied on a condition and you cannot also fetch the value of it to use on a condition, this is because the value of it is generated only once the form is submitted.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to think of a workaround that will allow you to tag an entry # of the 2nd participant using the "Unique ID" widget, because we cannot get the value of it. The only way that I can think of is using the form's full source code and directly inject a custom script that will assign an entry # for the 2nd participant. However you'll need to embed the form on a web page and/or hire developer to create the custom script.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.
