App Builder : Can we access the PDF submissions within our app?

Is there a way to access the PDF submissions within our app? Example: I would like our Caregivers/Admins to be able to see all of the submissions of our Kid Information form. I can make separate pages for each submission that can be accessed via buttons from a main page, but I want to be able to seamlessly connect with the PDF template that I've created, and embed that PDF on the page of the app. It would save me the hassle of having to copy every field from each page and fill in the information that we have already collected through jotform!

    Hi TandemCoop,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, at a moment, it is not possible to show or access the PDF version of submission In Jotform App. Using Data Element, you can only link to a Table or Reports in your APP.

As the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now. We've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers, but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

Is there any update on this? Or is there a new way to do this? Is there a way to access the pdf view link for the "folder" or "tab"?

    Hi TandemCoop,

Thanks for your patience while we’re looking into this. Although we don’t have a solution yet, rest assured, we’ll keep working on this until it's resolved. We’ll get back to you as soon as we have an update. As a workaround, you can try to share the PDF submission link to your app. Let me show you how:

    1. In PDF Editor, click on the Share button and change the access settings to Company Access.
    2. Enter your organization email domain in the Require organization email domain field. Note that the user needs to log in to their company email account to access the PDF due to security purposes.
    3. Click on the Go back button and click on the Copy link button. App Builder : Can we access the PDF submissions within our app? Image 1 Screenshot 30

Now, we need a button in your App Builder that directs to the PDF submission link. Let me show you how:

    1. In your App Builder, click on the Add Element button and add a button to your app.
    2. Click on the gear icon of the button and go to the General tab.
    3. Replace the Button Text label and select the Visit URL in the Button Action.
    4. Paste the copied PDF Submission link to the Link Field. App Builder : Can we access the PDF submissions within our app? Image 2 Screenshot 41

That's it! Test your app, and you will be redirected to the submission link after clicking the button.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
