    Issues with Email Alert form field tags

    I have one particular form that requires use of a table to enable information to be filled out such as first and last names, ages etc of up to five individuals when booking an event.

    When using the form field tags in the email notification wysiwyg window for the values to be added in the appropriate area, it gives me the name of the text area as a tagged option to use, but when the email notification is received by the user, there is no corresponding information provided, eg.

    the email notification wysiwyg offers this:

    'Names and ages of children:{namesof14}'

    This is the value that appear when you click on the correct tag to use in the right hand form field column on the wysiwyg, but what is received by the user filling out the form and receiving an email is:

    'Names and ages of children:'

    No values are provided.

    Can you offer me a solution to complete the email tag issue. I assume each table cell has to have a unique ID and that needs to be entered within the {} in order for the values to appear, but I dont know how to attach a unique ID to each cell in the table.

    My recommendation would be to delete and re-create the email.

    You can delete an email by clicking on "E-mail Alerts" button on the form builder toolbar, then click on "Notification" and then click on "Delete Email" button on the wizard.

    You can re-create the email by clicking on "Email Alerts" and then clicking on "Add New Email".

    i've tried this and doesn't work.

    the field names are still missing from my 'thank you' email. but they appear in the downloadable .csv file

    how do i know they're using the correct code, i.e. {yourName1}

    could it be the caching issue i've heard mentioned?

    could someone fix this promptly please?

    Recreating the email alert will almost always fix problems such as this. If it does not solve your problem, can you give us the link to the form that your having troubles with? We will need to inspect you form and do some testing and find out if it is a bug that's causing your problem.

    ok, this was part of the caching issues wihtthe forms.jotform.com URL in the source code. this has now been resolved, thanks.
