How to save uploaded files while filling the form?

Asked by nancytorrison on March 29, 2016 at 12:17 PM

Our applicants are having trouble with the fact that the PDF attachments don't save if they take a break from the application or log out. The auto-fill parts save just fine. Is there a way to adjust the form so that attachments save when one logs out - prior to submitting the final application?

I found this thread where you asked the same some days ago: https://www.jotform.com/answers/801219-Attachments-not-saving-during-application-process#3

I remember that I told you that this could not be possible; however, one of my colleagues corrected me and replied to you saying that this is possible by using the Save and Continue Later method, currently you are using the Auto Fill Feature, this is the one that does not allow to save uploaded files when the form is closed, it only saves the data in the other fields.

Please, follow the advice provided on the other thread, the Save and Continue Later (session method) allows to save uploaded files, I cloned your form and I can confirm that this works, even if you reload the page it will save all the data previously entered in your form.

    Here is an example.

This is the guide to achieve what I did on your cloned form: https://www.jotform.com/help/97-How-to-Save-Forms-and-Continue-Later

    Hope this helps.
