Bespoke second recipient for email autoresponder

On this form you will see that I have space for the 'Business Unit Managers Name'. I used to have another box for the Business Unit Managers EMAIL address, in the hope that I could use the autoresponder email function to also send a copy of the form to this person. (This was SECOND e-mail address on the form).

When formatting the autoresponder I tried using the brackets { } to add in this second recipient email address but it wouldn't work. I've now removed this second email address box from the form. Is there anyway to make this work?

    Kind regards

    Hello James,

    Thank you for contacting us.

You can add an additional recipient to simple Notification alert, but not to the Autoresponder alert. However, you can add as much Autoresponders as you want. In order to solve the problem, just add an additional Autoresponder for the Business Unit Managers email address.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

When I set up a new notification email, my own (jotform account) email is pre-populated in the 'recipient' field in the bottom right hand corner.

There is no drop down menu for me to select 'Business Unit Director' e-mail address as the RECIPIENT. How do I do that for a notification email?

    Hi James

What Mike_T was trying to tell you was that you would need to add an extra autoresponder to the form, not a notification. Please do the following:

    1. Load the form into the form builder and click Email Alerts > Add New Email > Autoresponder Email > Next

    2. Complete the Sender Name and Sender Email fields. It's usually best to select as the Sender Email because some email systems reject a message if any descrepancy is detected between the proported domain and the actual source of the message: Since the subject of a message is displayed before the email containing it is opened, you can include your email address in the subject line.

    3. Select "Business unit direct..." as shown below:

    4. Click Next, compose the message as desired, click Finish and save the form

If additional clarification is needed, do let us know.
