Integrating form to Google Sheets, CRM and downloading submissions as PDF

Asked by Alex Lizzappi  on April 17, 2016 at 04:44 PM

I can find the functionalities offered by JotForm, when a form is submitted I would like the data to go to a sheet, this is easy with google sheets, the same fields to populate a PDF form and integration with a CRM. One set of fields distributed in different places: sheet, pdf, crm. Do you have the PDF function?

You are right, you can integrate your form to Google Spreadsheet.

We also have a set of CRM integration that you can use like Clinchpad, Infusionsoft, SalesForce Integration, Solve360, Highrise, Zoho and FunnelOne.

You can easily export the submissions into a PDF file. Just go to the submissions area and then you click the PDF button to download the submission.

If you want to download all submissions in a PDF file, then you scroll down and you'll see a PDF button in the Grid Report.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.

Please let me make sure I understand.

    Think of a paper form.

The client populate the digital fields (desktop /mobile browser) and I get a pdf filled form, that is what I have in mind, is this what "export submission into a pdf" does?

When I export or download the submission to PDF, the submission text is running off the page!!

From a Text Area Field (multiple lines)

Also can the PDF be emailed automatically upon submission?

Exporting means downloading the submissions as a PDF file. Here's a screenshot of the generated PDF from a submission:

You need to enable the "Show Headers and Texts" so that they will appear on your PDF file. Please check this guide: How-to-show-headers-or-text-for-contracts-terms-agreements-in-the-PDF-format-of-a-submission

Also, you can customize the PDF file easily. In the Submissions area, click the "PDF" button and then click the "Customize PDF".

If you need more help, let us know. Thank you.

I checked the submissions page on your form and I was able to see the "Show Headers and texts" option.

Can you please confirm if you are now able to see the said option on your end? If the issue persists, please try clearing your browser cache and reload the submissions page.

It is possible to receive a PDF attachment on the email when a user submits the form. First, set up your email notification by following this guide: Setting Up Email Notifications.

Then once you have email notifications setup, go to Advanced tab and check the Attach PDF check-box as seen below.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
    Regards.

Yes I have the option, this has fixed this issue.

However, no all fields are rendered in the PDF (are all marked/selected)

The notification email it is not attaching a pdf, only showing fields in the body of the email.

I have changed the email to be notified (uchenna@bestskin.us) however the system keeps sending emails to old email address 012009@gmail.com

Please note that if you use the "Test Email" button in the notification, it will only send the notification to your account's email address, NOT in the recipient address you setup.

To test if your notifications are working as expected, you need to fill out the form and click the submit button.

Here's a guide to know more about changing and updating your recipient email address: https://www.jotform.com/help/314-How-to-Properly-Change-and-Test-a-New-Email-Recipient-Address

Also, please note that the PDF will NOT be attached to your email, it will only add a download link to your email body to download the PDF submission of the form. I also downloaded your current submission as PDF, this is how it looks like:

I do not see any problems on it, are you expecting a different layout or something?

The form has many more fields and the test submission has filled all the 40+ fields, why the pdf is generating only few fields?

I cloned your form and made a test submission with all the fields filled. I cannot seem to replicate the issue, as all the fields in the form appeared in the PDF file.

Are you still encountering the issue? Can you please try clearing your form cache to see if that resolves the issue? Here's how: How to Clear Your Form Cache?

If the issue persists, please let us know.

I can see the entire form as you do, but when you click PDF or download as pdf it only prints partial lines. I cleared the form cache as instructed without resolving issue. The solution was to reset the PDF customization....

I tried using a different embed code

    <script type="text/javascript" src="https://form.jotform.com/jsform/61076250024141"></script>

    http://www.bestskin.us/intake-form/test-intake-form/

The parallax does not work but the form submits successfully.

Using JavaScript code to embed your form can cause conflicts between the form and your site. We recommend using iFrame instead. This will eliminate any conflicts your form may have.

I recommend you review a previous thread. The user also had problems submitting the form.

As indicated in the thread, please verify that you have all the permission in your script so all the code can be executed properly.
