How can we bookmark a favorite post in the Support Forum?Asked by stevenkessler on April 17, 2016 at 10:30 PM
I see that I can do this using browser bookmarks, and I'll do that, but I also would love to see the addition of a Favorites function here on the support forum. Sometimes an answer is just what I'll need next week or next month, and I'd love to be able to mark it here somehow so I can easily find it again.
You must be referring to a 'sticky post' which was commonly used on some other forum website.
We actually have the same implementation wherein you can see stickied post that were relevant to topic/solution being searched.
If you go to the User Guides page https://www.jotform.com/help/ and do a search for solution, the query result will give you related articles and as well as relate forum post (like its bookmarked)
Do a search for 'lightbox'
Hope this help. Let us know how it goes for you.
I think that's not what stevenkessler have in mind.
In one of my online User Community (Forum, File Exchange, ...), their platform provides a bookmark functionality like the one seen in the attached image.
A sticky post is helpful, but it does not provide the functionality of your favorited or bookmarked posts / threads.
I agree. Search is great, and I'm glad that it is available.
But the ability to mark something and add it to a list of favorites is also very useful.
Just an upgrade request -- not a complaint.
I second stevenkessler's Feature Request.
For the meantime, I suggest creating a bookmark/favorites folder specifically for JotForm. One advantage of this is you can organize threads based on your specs (mine as an example below).
I would just like to mention that my colleague has raised this to our developers and that it has already been assigned, but we can not give any specific timeframe when the same would be available.
I do agree that it would be a nice feature and that I am currently using bookmark folders to sort all different kinds of links similar to what Randy does :)
If and as soon as it is available, we will notify you about it through this thread.
