Is it possible to capture form data by reading a barcode or badge?

One of our Marketing Directors is attending a big trade show and wants to capture contact information from attendees.  i.e. Name, company, email, etc.  All attendees will have a badge that can be scanned by vendors.  We want to then load that data into Salesforce and I see you have an integration tool with Salesforce.  (Very cool).    Object is to capture lead data without having to key it in at the show.

I know you can BUY that data from the show, but expensive and looking for alternative.

It would not be possible to read the bar code, but it would be possible to read QR code and have the data from it passed over to form field.
