Facebook Jotform 404 errorAsked by phantomscreensuk on March 08, 2012 at 06:43 AM
I'm receiving a 404 error nginx/1.0.8 when I tried to load a form that I set up last week. It was working previously and nothing had changed so I don't understand what has gone wrong?
Could this be related to the recent news of a secret service investigation into you guys?
What can I do to get my form back up and running again? It was set up using the facebook develop approach, I just looked at the HTML alternative but when I look on my jotform embed settings the "display it on your site" embed option isn't available
Sorry for the inconveniences this may have caused you. Adding Form to Facebook using (Custom iFrame App) method is already depracated, maybe this is the reason why form on your FB page doesn't work anymore. To fix this, simply reinstall your form using Static HTML App Method. Please visit the link below for a guide:
Hope this helps. Thank you so much!
That's restored my app form so thank you very much but has however unearthed a new problem. On the new timeline layout when I attempt to change the new static html app's image it doesn't work, it keeps bringing up a random image after i've selected to upload my own image....any ideas?
To the best of my knowlegde, I dont believe you can change the icon when you the Static HTML app.
There is another one, which we havent tested or created a user guide manual, in which apparently you can use a custom image for the tab.
The process of adding your form with this method, shouldnt be much different to the method you have just used.
OK, I look into this method and installed a new tab but still when I changed the tab picture in the new timeline layout facebook just spouts out some randomly generated image and not the image I uploaded. Is this a teething issue between jotform and FB or just Facebook being rubbish?
You may use this guide for setting up your custom tab icon for Iframehost:
