Issues with Wix, JotForm and Stripe?

Asked by Bill Main  on May 03, 2016 at 09:50 AM
Just please give me the truth and then we can move on and work together. I use WIX and created a nice restaurant website, and used Stripe as the payment (obnoxious limitation already) option. So what happens? Anyone who clicks to enter their CC information gets shown a long message to the effect that the form is NOT secure (despite WIX saying, "No, really...trust us."). Googling the problem shows a nice "simple" fix. 1.) Go to your form....  Huh, what? First of all, it was embedded into the site. Second of all, it is embedded into the impossible to access proprietary RESTAURANT APP. In other words, I can't get to it. So, here is my FIRST question.

1.) Did you not default to a secure form just so we had to hunt you down and, I presume, eventually pay you something that is, after we figure out what is going on?

2.) How can I do this. Who involved in this WIX/JotForm/Stripe collaboration is going to assume responsibility for this? OF COURSE MY CLIENTS WANT  A SECURE FORM. Why wouldn't this be the default. Grrrrrrrrr.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

I'm checking your email address you used in this post but I cannot see a JotForm account associated with it, even on our mail logs. Could you please provide us the app, the form and the website where you are having problems with.

I am not quite sure what the exact problem with, we need to see where the unsecure message you are getting is being displayed, it can be either on the form, the website or the app itself. Unfortunately, we cannot investigate further if we do not have any information about it.

By default the forms are now SSL enabled, you can check this blog post by our founder: https://www.jotform.com/blog/175-All-Forms-are-Now-Secure-by-Default-The-SSL-Limits-on-Free-Accounts-are-Lifted-

If you open the form using the direct link, you can see more details of the secure connection by clicking the green lock icon at the address bar. If you click the "Details", you'll see the SSL certificate and would verify that you are in a secure connection.

    We'll wait for your response.

I checked your website and tried making a purchase.

Are you referring to this payment form:

I checked that form and it is NOT related to JotForm. I presume it's a product or payment form directly related to Wix.com. Please note that we are NOT associated with Wix.com, but our form's can be embedded in websites that are created in Wix. Embedding simply means displaying our form to any platform that allows embed codes to be used, but does not mean that we are part of Wix. However, that specific payment form I presented in the screenshot is NOT a JotForm form. I checked its page source code and did not see anything that is related to us.

If I missed something and I am referring to a different form, please let us know. It would also be best to contact the developer that setup that payment form. If it is purely related to Wix.com, then please do contact the Wix support team instead.

    I hope that helps.
