    is there a back-up made of my form?

    I have read some reviews\threads that say that users forms have dissapeared or accounts deleted and people lose all their work.  

    Maybe these were old but I would like to know what systems are in place to ensure this doesn't happen.  I am looking to use paid plan to host a buisiness critical form and need some reassurances.

    We have backups but because of the time it takes to restore a single form or submission, we do not do restores per request.

    If you delete your form accidentally, you can recover it from the trash folder. Unfortunately, there is no trash folder for deleted submissions. So, if you accidentally delete a submission, there is no way to recover it. 

    We review each case and we have not found a systematic reason for the lost forms/submissions. Of course, if you search the forum for such cases, you will find many since this forum has over 80,000 posts.

    understood, thanks for your response.  Would it be a good idea to set-up another dormant account just to hold a clone of my form, that I can restore from?  Do you see any reason why this wouldn't work?

    You can always create a clone of your form so that you have a backup. Just Right click on your form on 'My Forms' page and then select 'Clone Form'. You can name the form with the date when you cloned it so that it would be easier to know which clone is the latest if something happens to the original form.

    If you prefer putting the backup form in another account you can always sign up for another free account and import the form.
