    Creation of sub-accounts: the system should warn to main user if you try to create a new sub user with the same email address

    Please amend your system to avoid sub-accounts being created for an already existing user.

    Before a new user is created, the system should check if there's already an active account, before creating a new account/user.

    This impacts the number of sub-accounts we can still create.

    Our system is checking the availability of the username while creating a new account. If there is existing user it is warning the user as you see below:

    If there is not existing username sub user can create an account without any issue. If you have any question or issues, please do not hesitate contacting us. We will be glad to assist you.

    Try and create a 'new user' by assigning such person to a form and see the result ........

    Thank you for providing more details. I've tested it on my account and I also encountered the same issue. I've created a sub-user. Then I've created a  new sub user with same email address. However, I am able to create a new sub-user with the same email address successfully. However, the system should check the availability of the sub-user while creating a new sub user.

    As per you request, I will escalate it to our second level as a feature request. You will be notified about it if they decide to implement it. via this thread. Please note that creating a feature request does not ensure that the feature will be implemented. It completely depends on upon the feasibility and priority of our back end team.

    Hi

    The bug my colleague Beril has shown above has now been fixed.

    However, I think there is some confusion about our sub accounts. You should think of sub accounts as other JotForm accounts which you are giving access to some/all of your forms. Sub accounts can be fully functional JotForm accounts with separate forms/data from your account.

    When you add a new sub account we always check if the account already exists. If it doesn't exist we sent them an invitation to sign up. If it does exist we allow that account access to your forms based on the permissions you have chosen to give them.
