Form validation

I would like to create a form with text field that will be able to do input validation on server side.

The validation should check that the entered text matches a specific string (e.g. "1234").

Is there a way to achieve this in JotForm?

Can you please tell us what kind of code you would like to run on your server?

If you can give us more details so we can see if it is possible to achieve with JotForm.

    We'll wait for your response.

    Thank you!

    Hi Robin,
I would like the form to have a question:
    For example:
What is the the name of the US president?
This field's validation will be done server side (so that user will not see
the answer in the 'view source').
We would like to allow user to proceed only if entered the correct value.
    Hope this helps.

You can use conditional logic to hide show fields. For example you can set your condition to show other fields if value that is entered inside of your first field is "1234".

More about conditional logic you can find inside of this guide:

    Here is my demo form:

If you want to add custom validation and scripts, you will have to download your form's full source code and then add the custom codes. Inside of this guide you can find how to get full source code of your form:

Hope this will help. Let us know if you need further assistance.
