    Some files not appearing in Dropbox but Jotform notification coming through?

    Hi There, 

     

    I have a jotform account linking to my dropbox. I received a notification with 10 or so files on, when I go to my dropbox there is only 4 in there. Where have the other ones gone and how can I download them as they are not in my dropbox. I click on the link to download and it opens amazon cloud but the file doesnt buffer!

     

    I need help asap, I cannot ask this person to re-upload and he has submitted them correctly and I have received the notification.

    Some more information. When I click one to download, the ones that are in my dropbox work, but the other ones give me this same message for everyone. Please help I really need these asap.

    It appears that you went over the limit for the allowed upload space in your account which may have caused this problem. The free registered accounts are allowed to have 100 MB upload space but the 1 submission you had for this form contains several files which went over the quota. 

    I will forward this issue to our higher ups and ask if it is possible to recover the said files however there is no guarantee that this can be done.

    Hi There,

     

    I know I am trialing this at the moment and trying to purchase. Can you delete the files I have received to clear some space for me to download the other ones?

     

    If you could the files I already have are AO Abscess Halkeston Copy, CPD Solutions 4, CPD Solutions 6, The Powerpoint, Joint ill Lamb UN 01. Please can I have the remaining Items and i will remove all other files.

    To clear up space you will need to delete the submission there is no option to delete the individual files of a submission. For now just leave the submission in your account until our administrators can do further check if what you wish is possible.

    Thanks mliz. I now have managed using Quicktime Pro to save most of the files through the URL format. So the following I need are CPD Solutions 4.mov, Gangrenous mastitis fly worry copy.mov, Lamb castration ON 01.mov and Lameness prevalence RH SVS 01 Copy.mov

     

    Many thanks for all your help I will be persuading my boss today to upgrade!

     

    Can you give me an ETA on the files above else I will have to ask for them to be re-uploaded and delete whats there so they can re-upload.

    Unfortunately I do not have the ETA as to when our administrators can come up with the fix on this case there is also no guarantee that the files would be recovered this entireley depends on the result of the investigation.

    Hi Mliz,

    Unfortunately I have had to delete them and ask the person to re-submit. One thing I am a bit dissapointed about, I know you need to make money, but I have a dropbox account with 2GB storage. I dont want to store my files with you, but I do want them to go direct to dropbox. Surely the account quota on dropbox should be matched by yourselves!!

    Thank you for the feedback I understand your concern, there is a cost that we have to cover for the space which is why we had to put limits on the subscriptions. The uploaded files are part of the submissions which counts against the upload space for now there is no option to have the files saved at dropbox without being stored on our servers.

    Wish we could help you out with this limitation, but this is how our plans are set up for now. Thank you for trying out JotForm and we hope to serve your needs very soon.
