    MailChimp integration

    I have seen on the blog that an integration with MailChimp is realized. This was for me the occasion to discover MailChimp and to rediscover the pleasure of mailinglists (I stopped sending newsletters many years ago, because the functionality of MailChimp (for instance) did not exist.

    My question is in fact what does this integration do... I tried it with one of my forms (a form addressing a limited number of known people) and did not see anything happen.

    Some of the users of my form did. A few of them received a MailChimp email asking them to join the mailing list. This is great. Many of them did not receive anything and one of them received 13 mails...

    Sorry if I take the liberty to ask another question in the same topic... I would like to se the integration the other way round. Integrate a jotform form within MailChimp. So I can send a newsletter to my mailinglists, and get reactions through Jotform.

    Is this possible? I must confess I just started working with MailChimp and I do not yet master all its functionality.

    If you select the option to add existing contacts to your mailing list, it will add all those people to the list.

    They weren't supposed to receive any emails. That's weird. We are telling MailChimp API to not send any confirmation emails to the users. We will look into that issue.

    I wonder the member who received 11 confirmations had 11 submissins on the database. If that's the case, we should probably change that. If you tried the integration 11 times, that might also explain it.

    Thanks for that quick reply.

    It's a good thing I did not try it with my public form... I guess I would have received hundreds of complaints.

    In fact, I tried twice to activate the integration, because I did not see anything happen after the first time.

    The form was filled by 26 people, and 6 of them told me they got an email. This would be quite normal, but 4 of them told me they did not get anything. The information reaches me through my forum.

    Would you be helped if I tell you which form I used to fill in my list at MailChimp?

    Hi jmputz, Anymore subscribers will not get confirmation email after bulk submission.
