Can you clear the submissions prior to the limit being met or is the monthly submission # the total number of submissions allowed regardless of how many are stored?

Once you exceed submission limits, your account will be in Overlimit status. When on this status further submission will not be allowed on any of your forms.

There are 2 submission limits you need to consider for FREE account. The monthly submission counter and the submission storage limit.

The monthly submissions counter resets to zero(0) every 1st day of each month. While the submissions storage is up to 500 submissions can be stored. Once the 500 storage limit is met, the system will start deleting older submissioins to keep the capacity at 500 and still make your account acctive.

You can revie more on the JotForm Pricing page.

If you delete/clear submissions, that will be deducted on the submission storage. But the monthly counter will not change.

Let us know if you need further clarification.
