Is it possible to have no selection as default in the User Contributed Dropdown widget?

Input_99  - is it possible to have no selection as default ie…can it be ‘empty’ 
(I have a work-around at the moment, where I have created a default option and my condition is set to show only when this is not the option selected, but that is a bit cumbersome!)

That can be achieved by adding an empty option in the first row of the widget. Then keep the Default Value blank.

When selecting the empty option in your condition, you can use the text "Option 1" value for your if/else conditions.
