    Can I create chained selections?

Asked by Nancy on April 02, 2012 at 03:51 PM

If the user makes a selection from a drop-down menu ( "product", for instance), I want to offer other options based on the product selected (certain "types" of that product that are offered), then further options based on the second option ("sizes" offered for that type), and a final option ("product finish") based on the product selected.

    For example:

    Select a product:  Spring Nuts
                              Beam Clamps
                              Pipe Clamps

If they select Spring Nuts, they can select from:  Regular Spring
                                                                         Long Spring
                                                                         Short Spring

If they select Regular Spring, they can select specific sizes.
If they select Regular Spring, it is offered in a Zinc or Stainless Steel Finish.

Is this possible with your form builder?

you can use conditions under setup and embeded. This theorecticly would work but you would have to write alot of condtions and it gets annoying. Coditions can also conflict and then you have problems.

You can try conditions or wait for something better from the support team.

Yes you can create 'chained' selections using the Conditional Logic on the Forms.

You may also test this form.
Even complex conditions will actually be very easy to manage with proper design and work flow preparations.

@mathquiz, Thanks for the input. We appreciate it. =)
