I need some specific questions answered

Asked by Bruce on April 02, 2012 at 05:26 PM

Hello Jotform, I’m trying to select a form service for our new website.  I have examined your site but could not find all my answers.  I would appreciate if you could read the following and answer my questions.  Thanks, Bruce

Our site will have 5 sponsors.  One of our services is to provide leads to our sponsors.  We will have a lead form that collects the same information in 3 different places on our site.  The user will use a pulldown menu to select the sponsor they are interested in or they will select “All sponsors”.  The only difference between the 3 forms will be their formatting.

Q1. Am I correct to assume since we will be embedding the lead form code and tweaking its look in three different ways that it will still be considered as one lead form with the data all going into the same database area/report?

Q2. If the member chooses “All sponsors” can your system create 5 lead entries – one for each of our 5 sponsors that has the same information?

Each sponsor will have their own part of the site.  In their area there will be a lead form identical to the first one except it will not have a pulldown menu - instead it will be “hard coded” to be just for that sponsor.

Q3. Is it possible to have this lead form feed into the same database area/report as the first lead form or does it need to be captured in a second report where I would need to manually merge with the first report?

Q4. Can we do the following?  A person fills out a poll that is embedded in our website.  We then want to display a graph of the poll results up to that point in time in the place where the poll question was.

Q5. Can we do the following?  A person fills out an embedded lead form in our website.  We then want to display a custom thank you with our own graphics in the place where the lead form was.

The rest of the questions are straight forward:

Q6. Am I able to insert images in an autoresponse email?

Q7. Am I able to customize the text in an autoresponse email based on the one of the form fields answered by the user?

Q8. Do you have branching surveys? I want to be able to use logic on one answer to decide on next question.

Q9. Can I insert a hover text message to describe a form field?  Some may not be that clear and I don’t want to have to write out the explanation in the form.

Q10. In a poll can you limit the pollers to one-vote per poll/survey?

Q11. Can we apply our own CSS formatting if we embed your form into a part of our site?

Q12. Can we insert our logo/pictures in form?

Q13. Can I automatically send the results of a form to our own server for post processing? We need to take the user name or email address and match them in our user database to extract other information on the user before sending the lead to a sponsor.

Thank you for your interest in our service.

Q1. Am I correct to assume since we will be embedding the lead form code and tweaking its look in three different ways that it will still be considered as one lead form with the data all going into the same database area/report?

Yes, but you will have to use form source code embedding option in such case.

Q2. If the member chooses “All sponsors” can your system create 5 lead entries – one for each of our 5 sponsors that has the same information?

Unfortunately, it is not currently possible.

Q3. Is it possible to have this lead form feed into the same database area/report as the first lead form or does it need to be captured in a second report where I would need to manually merge with the first report?

For example, it is possible to use the same lead form. You will have to adjust the source code in order to have selected and disabled sponsor field.

Q4. Can we do the following? A person fills out a poll that is embedded in our website. We then want to display a graph of the poll results up to that point in time in the place where the poll question was.

We have several reporting options, and it is possible to share them.

The easiest way is to put the report iframe on the Thank You Page, but I am afraid that this is not possible. We will have to find some workaround.

Q5. Can we do the following? A person fills out an embedded lead form in our website. We then want to display a custom thank you with our own graphics in the place where the lead form was.

    Yes, it is possible.

Q6. Am I able to insert images in an autoresponse email?

Yes, autoresponder email wizard comes with rich text editor.

Q7. Am I able to customize the text in an autoresponse email based on the one of the form fields answered by the user?

Yes, it is possible to use entered by user information in autoresponder body.

It is also possible to have several different conditional autoresponders.

Q8. Do you have branching surveys? I want to be able to use logic on one answer to decide on next question.

    Please check the following article:

    Conditional Logic on Forms

Q9. Can I insert a hover text message to describe a form field? Some may not be that clear and I don’t want to have to write out the explanation in the form.

Yes, we have the hover text option.

Q10. In a poll can you limit the pollers to one-vote per poll/survey?

    Yes, please check this.

Q11. Can we apply our own CSS formatting if we embed your form into a part of our site?

Yes, you can customize the CSS.

Q12. Can we insert our logo/pictures in form?

Yes, it is possible, you can use either Free Text (HTML) or Image field.

Q13. Can I automatically send the results of a form to our own server for post processing? We need to take the user name or email address and match them in our user database to extract other information on the user before sending the lead to a sponsor.

    Yes, it is possible.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.
