    How can I capture the value of a checkbox field?

    Asked by Bill on April 03, 2012 at 06:31 PM

    I have a checkbox for sign up for my newsletter.  If checked the answer is Yes

    When I print the values using a post I get this

    submission_id=199300545531311204&formID=10823056232&ip=70.140.109.135 &firstname8=billy &lastname=rabbitt &email4=bill@rabbit.com &signme%5B%5D=Yes &indcontractor7=My.Travel.Agency&hostagency6=XYZCompany

    But I have not been able to obtain the value of signme.  I have tried with the %5B%5D, I have tried signme, I have tried signme10 and pretty much everything else I can think of.

    I had this same problem with the Full Name widget and I could never get the first name and last name as separate values.

    Hi Bill

    With regards to the Full Name field, you may find this thread helpful.

    As far as capturing the Sign me up... checkbox's value goes, it might just be a matter of casing: changing "signme" to "signMe". I will need to test this solution for myself because I suspect that it may not be as straightforward as I think but in the meantime you may find How to Post Submission Data to Thank You Page in the Advanced Features section of our user guide helpful.
