    why are the attachments going straight to download, instead of showing up on a s3 amazon servers!

    my form has a mp3 file upload option & the last 2 uploads i had on my forms came through to me as normal, but when click on them it downloads the mp3 to my desktop instead of loading it up onto the internet first to play!


    any ideas??

    Normally when i click the link on the email sent to me....it goes to an mp3 which i can listen to online, but now instead of loading on that page, it downloads it straight to my desktop.....but i need the url link from s3 amazon

    May I request if you can try it on newer uploaded files? Our s3 amazon provider seems to have previous issue with some file types but was given a hot fixed just recently. The fix affects only for newer uploaded files. Can you upload a new mp3 files and check in your email if the link to it will now allows to play the files on the same page.

    Please inform us if this does not resolve the issue. Thanks.

    I have created a ticket to our Technicians to see if we can help you with this. However, please note that in general, our storage service is working as expected, it is letting you download your files.

    We will update this thread if we get any news for you.

    You will have to download it to listen it. We do not support listening media files on the web browser.

    but i use the s3amazon servers to host my songs, and now i cant....i have to upload the MP3's to my server it self and if causing my website to slow down! i liked the feature and now i cant use it.

    im sorry to say.....but if this problem doesnt get fixed i will have to cancel my subscription, i need the feature in which i can just copy and paste the link, instead of having to download it to my desktop, then re-upload it to my server!!!


    This never used to be a problem, i used to just be able to click the link on the email send to me and it would show up like this http://s3.amazonaws.com/jufs/sonrisafm/13292310277/199015110751782726/Death_before_dishonor.mp3

    and now when i click it it downloads it straight away like this.... submit.jotform.co/uploads/sonrisafm/13292310277/199612266171958036/belive_track_2.wmv.mp3

    Unfortunately, there really isnt much we can do to help you here.

    JotForm is a form building service not a streaming media service.

    You will just have to download those mps & listen locally or upload to a different server if you want to share those files with a wider audience.
