More information about accepting payments please

I see in your free account that you can accept 10 payments. Is that per month? Per year? Per form? Can you please advise as to how that works? 

If I am using Paypal and giving payment options - eg. 50% down and then the remaining 50% - would that affect how number of payments I can accept is calculated? 

I need a form to take event registration info and payments.

It's per month, total from all forms you have. If you're collecting the remaining 50% using another form, then that will be counted over your payment submissions limit. If not, as if users will manually send you the payment then that will not be counted.
