Signature fields on form PDF's

I am testing out some options for a signature field that will be completed on a pdf form using an IPad. I created a signature field that when used online works fine. However, when it is converted to a pdf and used on an IPad, the field only brings up the keyboard and does not have the same capabilities of using your finger or a pen to draw the signature.

The pdf form will be upload to a server via ftp and completed in the field while offline.

Is it possible to have a pdf have a signature field that allows for drawing the signature when the field tapped?

Unfortunately, we do not have such option. The signature fields are being replaced with standard Text Boxes on our fillable PDFs. In other words, you cannot submit a signature image from fillable PDF file to your JotForm account.

If fillable functionality is not required, form users might be able to use 3rd party software to add their signatures to the PDFs.

If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

I don't want to actually submit an image, just allow them to touch the
screen with their finger and sign the signature section. So instead of
bringing up a text option to type their name it would bring up a window to
sign their name with their finger.

Our E-Signatures are based on web technologies which are not supported by PDF format. It might be possible to add signature images to the PDFs with 3rd party software installed on iPad
