Theme Not Working?

    Hello,
     I wanted to change the theme of my form. This is listed under preferences/form styles. It seems this will change the background of the fields on the form page. My forms were all defaulted to "baby blue". I tried changing this to several different themes. It would only default to "white" and then I was unable to change it again. This happened on all my forms. It wouldn't even let me change it back to "baby blue". Is this feature broken or is there something blocking me from making these changes? Thank you for your thoughts!

    Hello Jeanette,

      Thank you for your assistance! I still have the same issue though, as the theme will not change since I changed it from "baby blue". Any other thoughts?

    I just logged in to your account and was able to change the theme of your "Test Form" form, via the Preferences > Form Styles > Themes route as well as Form Style > Themes one. The form is currently set to Post-It Yellow.

    It may be a browser issue. Which one are you using?

    Hello Abajan,

      I am using IE9. I saw your change to the "test form" and I was also able to change it but only with the "preferences > form styles > background. The "themes" option still isn't working for me. It's funny though, initially the "themes" was only changing the "fields" background and not the whole page background. I could change it once, then it would stop working.

    Is there another browser on your system that you could use until we get this sorted out? I myself have experienced difficulties while using IE9 (on a friend's computer) with JotForm. (Although, from what I can recall, those issues were with this forum and not the form builder.)

    I have another 'puter. I believe it's running IE8 but not sure. I'll have to check.

    Nope, it doesn't work in IE8 either. My main objective was to change the background color of the fields which at the time was "baby blue" and it just wasn't blending with the color themes of my web pages. I at least got that out and have to default to white but it's more agreeable to the other page colors. I would like to have seen those other options though. Not mandatory but ...

    I'd also like to ask if there is a setting that will send me an email when you post back.

    Thanks

    Will

    No, I've never received any email notifications on JotForm Support replies. Is there something I have to activate for that or should it be automatic?

    It ought to happen automatically. I once experienced the same issue after a particular thread became unusually long and I figured it was just the thread's numerous replies that caused the notifications to cease. But it only occurred with that thread and I never discovered the cause. The thing is, this forum's threads have no "Subscribe" links.

    I'd better submit a ticket requesting that such a feature be implemented for cases like yours.

    As to the matter at hand (the theme not working), I'll see what solutions I can come up with later.

    My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Anyway, initially I wasn't certain what elements of the form you wanted to color but after cloning a couple of your forms and seeing that they all had transparent backgrounds to allow the background of the page in which each was embedded to be shown, I realized that you must have been referring to the backgrounds of the various inputs. If this is the case, injecting the following CSS should do the trick:

    input, textarea, select {
    background-color: #FF6;
    }

    Just change the color value to your preference.

    Hope this helps.

    Incidentally, the background color of radio buttons and check boxes cannot be changed but you may find this article useful.

    Just letting you know that one of my colleagues (jeanettebmz) has submitted a ticket about the lack of notification of new replies in threads in which you have posted. If it's any consolation, a couple other users have recently reported the same issue. In the interim, please see this thread for a possible solution.

    Oops! I just realized that the ticket posted by Jeanette is actually about notifications from users' forms and not from this forum. Nevertheless, the issues are probably related. So, I'll hold off on submitting any ticket for now.

    I also just realized that Jeanette has previously posted to this thread. I wouldn't have worded my last reply in that manner had I remembered that.

    Hi Janette Jeanette! :)

    Thank you Wayne! I'll experiment with that CSS tomorrow! I'll let you know my results.

    Tried the CSS injection on my test form and it doesn't seem to work. Putting color in the fields was to possibly darken them a little because they were a little bright but it's not of paramount importance. At this point, I'd be more interested in getting email notifications of support replies.

    Thanks

    @Suprawill1,

    Didn't you received any emails from your willwilliams9[at]comcast[dot]net email? Kindly check your spam folder or your mail filter settings, maybe it's blocking jotform messages? Also, please try to add jotform@jotform.com on your safe senders list, see if this helps.

    Let us know if this doesn't help you with this problem so that we can further asssist you. Thanks!

    Hi idarktech,

      I hadn't received any JotForm notification emails at my willwilliams9[at]comcast[dot]net address.

    I receive the JotForm form submissions just fine. I am always aware of my spam folder and nothing has come through there either. I did add jotform@jotform.com to my safe senders list today per your suggestion.

    Thanks

    @Suprawill1,

    Maybe there's a problem with this thread, not quite sure about that. But, to make it sure, would you mind creating another thread and then we'll try to response. Lets see if forum notification doesn't really work on your address.

    Just give us the new thread link here on your next reply. Thank in advance.
