    Autoresponder email: Values of name field {name:last},{name:first} can not be saved as Email Subject

    I have a form that collects full name information. I would like last & first name from the form to populate in my Auto-Responder e-mail as follows: 

    "{Date} - {Last Name}, {First Name} ({Community} {Room} - My Personal Text"

    I've seen other forum responses that suggest using the following format to allow this: "{name:last}, {name:first}." This appeared to be a functional option through 2015. However, I cannot get this function to work using the new e-mail subject field options/tool. If I use the population tool & check the appropriate name field, it will insert the full name option into the subject line; however, I cannot manipulate or modify the form field to populate last or first only (i.e, add ":last" or ":first".) If I do, the tool deselects the field automatically causing it not to populate anything into the e-mail subject line. I tried to bypass this by not using the tool at all. I typed each form field with the first & last name indicators in the e-mail subject line; however, fields still won't populate into the subject line because they are not selected in the subject line population tool. As a test, I typed the form field request in the body of the e-mail, & the data did populate in my test e-mail. This suggests that this is an issue specific to the subject line &/or subject line population tool. I'm in desperate need of this functionality. Can someone assist?

    If I understood you correctly, you are tying to add {name:last},{name:first} inside of Email Subject of Autoresponder email. However changes are not saved and mentioned values are removed from email subject.

    I have cloned your form and made some test and I was able to replicate mentioned issue.

    I will escalate this issue to our developers and we will inform you via this thread once this issue is resolved.

    For now as possible workaround I can only suggest you to use two text box fields (one for first name and one for last name), instead of the name field. This way you should be able to add them to email subject field.

    Yes. You understood exactly what I was explain. I was hoping to avoid having to work around it, but I'll do that. Thanks for escalating the issue! I look forward to hearing a response in the future!

    Thank you for confirming that the issue was understood correctly, and this bug report has already been forwarded to our developers. As soon as we receive any updates from our developers regarding the issue, we'll let you know.

    Until then, I'm afraid the only option to include first name or last name in the subject of your email notifications is to utilize the workaround my colleague mentioned above.
