How to have uploaded images and PDF files open in browser window rather than download?

Asked by jsdeamer on April 19, 2012 at 05:54 PM

Previously, images and pdf files our users would upload to our forms would be viewable in a browser window. Now each one downloads automatically. Is there a setting I can change to stop downloading files when I want to open them in a browser window instead? Thanks a lot,

    Julie

    Thank you for contacting us.

I am very sorry to inform you, but this downloading depends on our storage service settings. Unfortunately, our technicians have already confirmed that we have no plans to change this behavior.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

Hi again, Just want to follow up on this to make sure I'm clear. Did your storage service settings change in the last few months? I ask because I want to make sure that the change in behavior is not due to something on my end. Thanks, Julie

Yes, our provider changed settings the last few months which disables files to open directly in the browser.
