    If a Drop-down is set to Required, Nothing Should be Selected by Default

    This thread was opened to alert user rrrescue to an issue that is separate from that discussed in the thread on form collapses and page breaks.


    Several of your drop-down selectors are marked as "Required" but the said drop-downs are pre-filled when the form loads (albeit with "Select") which defeats the purpose:

    A user could well opt to submit the form without selecting any item in all of those drop-downs and the form would still be sucessfully submitted. The record for such a submission would show "Select" as the choice selected by the user in each of those drop-downs. To rectify this, load the form in the form builder and do the following to each of the affected drop-downs:

    1. Click the drop-down
    2. Click the Options button, remove the "Select" line, click OK and save the form

    By the same token, the the current date and time should not be displayed in the date/time field on the first page:
